We don’t do spanking in my house but when I was a kid it was still very much what the people call “a thing”. Most times it was hand or belt but on special occasions you got to go pick the implement of your punishment, and woe be to those who picked a switch that might not leave a mark. If you don’t know the Switch as anything other than a wonderful Nintendo video-game system let me fill you in. A switch is also what you call a flexible branch used to whip someone. Better hope there isn’t a weeping willow in your yard or it won’t be the only thing weeping, if you catch my drift.
